Bought a lovely cauliflower yesterday 29p and 2.5kg potatoes are the same price.
Yes, I bought the cauliflower, and the parsnips, and the sprouts. Didn't need any potatoes or carrots. All good value at 29p. Suits me, I eat tons of veg.
Actually went in for the Glenmorangie Malt Whisky..same price as on Amazon and in Sainsbury £25 per 70cl. One of the staff said the Brussel Sprout/Marmite crisps had sold out.
Lidl and Aldi now price matching or undercutting by a penny

Anyone know how long Tesco veg keeps for? Seems to be no dates on any of their veg.
What did people do before produce was dated? Keep checking them. Use your senses, sight, smell, and touch. Keep in the fridge and inspect them daily. Are the carrots bendy? If potatoes are sprouting cut off the bits. Are the green leaves wilting? Trim them off.
Root vegetables will last two or three weeks. Sprouts the same, ages. Eat them before they go off. I often buy yellow sticker veg, it lasts up to two weeks in my fridge, after the sell by date.
Just be warned that like the pricing policy for the individual bananas, you won’t find your Christmas veg in Tesco Metros / Express / local branches for the purported 29p. Mattered not a jot to me, as I bought what I could in Asda for 20p and the rest from Aldi for 28p.
Plus the staff working in my local Tescos this morning were as grumpy as hell. I’m guessing they didn’t get a bonus.

They were most likely annoyed by customers who are unhappy when the store don't have an item in stock.
