i haven't asked them yet xylo. i may receive an explanation from LV re their refusal in this week's post today.. as i said in my initial post, i was concerned that perhaps it was transferring from Nest that might be the challenge - perhaps because it was set up by the government. it's only a pot worth £2-300, so i might as well merge it into another pot.

i have now thank you xylo. i'll see if NFUMutual or Wesleyan will accept my Nest pot being transferred in. my LV and NFUM pots are the smallest i have, so i want to build them up with regular contributions and small lumps like this Nest one, as they are conservatively managed - alongside higher risk investments, and i want to retain membership in case there are windfalls in the offing as a result of further consolidation in the industry.

i haven't received a reply from LV so far, but perhaps it just comes down to the fact that my LV pension is a scheme they took over from TA, and NFU Mutual will transfer in :xmassmile.

i haven't received a reply from NFUM, but LV have now replied to my query as to why they won't transfer in my Nest pension: they have advised me that now they have looked into the matter properly, they will.

just for completeness: i queried the lack of response from NFUM whilst sorting something else with them, and they are sorting the transfer of my Nest pension - so i didn't need to go back to LV after all. thank you all for comments.
