New Kindle Paperwhite

I am looking to get the new Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and it has now gone back up in price to £119.99 for the 8gb and £149.99 for the 32gb in most places apart from John Lewis where it is cheaper.
Does anyone know of any other cheaper deals please and how much would the 8gb hold anyway. I have the older basic Kindle but an unsure of the capacity to be honest.
Thanks in advance.

Storage should be in the several thousands of books ( and I believe they are all stored in the cloud anyway if you run out of device space ? )0 -
Is there really any benefit significant benefit for you of a new kindle over the older ones?
Above post is correct, the actual data of an individual book is tiny, and you can delete from your kindle and re-download if needed.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Don't know of any cheaper deals than the current price in John Lewis (the time to buy it was from Amazon in the Black Friday sales when it was £90).
Your older basic Kindle only had 4GB storage so the new Paperwhite doubles the capacity. You can store thousands of books on it, its only if you are using it for comics and audio books that you would possibly need the 32GB version.0 -
