  • When I write them I confirm name, job title, pay and bonuses/commission, that we don't expect that to change and how long they have been employed for.

Please ask your employer to produce a letter which includes/meets the following requirements;-

    • Addressed to Halifax plc, PO Box 548, Leeds. LS1 1WU
    • Roll number
    • The full name of the employee
    • The employee’s job title
    • Start date
    • Contract status – temporary or permanent
    • Basic salary and details of any additional pay such as Overtime, Commission or Bonus
    • It must have either a company stamp, or be typed on, or accompanied by a sheet of the company’s headed paper
    • The reference must be signed and dated, and the name and position of the person completing the reference be provided.

Once ready, it MUST be sent directly from the employer to employmentreference@lloydsbanking.com and please take care with the spelling of the email address.

Cheers thats great. I take it lloyds, bank of scotland and halifax are all connected? Mortgage is with halifax but a hard search on my credit file was from bank of scotland and now this has to get sent to a lloyds email.

Halifax and Bank Of Scotland are members of Lloyds Banking Group and Halifax lends under the BOS Banking Licence.

We do this all the time and that is the template we use to email clients to pass to their employer.

It's a real bind. They always forget the roll number, client's full name or screw up the email address by not entering two 'l's.
