Pre-notified interest charge on mortgage redemption figure - First Direct.

Hi All - Hope someone can help. We are completing on our mortgage swap next week. We just received our redemption figure through from First Direct, and there is a charge of £338.06 for 'pre notified interest'.

This is not the expected daily interest calculation (which is listed separately)

Can anyone tell me what this may be for please? i cant seem to find anything online that explains it clearly, and I cannot speak to the mortgage team there until tomorrow morning.

Thanks -

Apparently the Prenotified interest is Novembers interest, as it is paid in arrears. I was not aware that was the case.

There is a daily calculation for December - Plus all of Novembers interest which would have been due to make in my December mortgage payment.
