It’s against the terms if you don’t speak to step change about it in advance. If we get approval from our lender for the essential works is the damp problem then we would go to step change and also run it through them so not to break any terms.0

A DMP is just an informal agreement between the borrower and the lender(s) so there aren't any terms as such.0

In light of all the advice you have kindly provided we are much more against moving lenders and are now speaking to our mortgage provider about covering the essential work. We were initially thinking that whilst we did the essential it would be better to do it fully and properly rather than do it twice but now we just hope the lender will help us with the essential. The works to the bathroom are essential and I’ve produced a photographic report to evidence the problems we have with damp as a result of a bad condition shower room. Additionally I’ve sent them the issues that need putting right in the kitchen.0
