Iron man race

I am looking forward to participate in an Ironman 70.3 Oceanside race on 6th April 2019 and I am looking forward to having a holistic training plan. But before I develop such a plan along with my personal trainer, I want to test how good I am with my current capacity. For that, I am looking for a small fitness challenge that would help me understand where I stand. I have found out through my extensive research that a gym in Mississauga offers a police-fitness-training police fitness training [/URL]for a duration of 3 weeks. What caught my attention is the fact that, these people also provide an assessment test before actually signing for the program and this assessment test will help me understand my weakness and plan the course accordingly. I think this will work well for me as it will help me understand where I stand and how far I need to go. I thought before signing up for it, I was hoping to know about similar programs performed by other gyms. The objective is that I could compare prices and Identify and choose which is the better one. Thanks.

In what way is a police training test similar to an iron man???
There are several test you can perform. What do you want to know? Lung capacity? VO2 Max? FTP?
Most of these can be carried out in a gym by a half decent instructor.

Have you done any form of triathlon before? Can you swim the required distance? Can you cycle the required distance? Can you run the required distance? - that's your starting point
