Full and final settlement

I'm just in the process of setting up a DMP after being in a token payment plan. I owe approx £18000 to several creditors.
Due to the loss of a much loved family member ive found myself with £3000 via the disposal of the estate. Coincidentally 3 of my creditors have offered me full and final settlement.
I could make these payments with the £3000 and substantially reduce my debt. However, I've been told that this might make my remaining creditors come after me more aggressively.
What would your advice be in this situation?
Thanks
