Note to self- get rid of the extension plug that that has three switches, one that accidentally got switched off defrosting the contents of my freezer.:T
The good news it only contained emergency frozen veg and a reduced piece of top rump ( now roasting) and a leg of lamb.
I need to cook it tonight but I don't fancy roasting it as I'll need to freeze it and not sure if that's the best way to go, or should I cook it overnight in my slow cooker?
Any yummy recipes? Eg Irish stew or is this too good a cut for Irish stew?
I've got potatoes in the ' fridge and I could go out and buy some other ingredients.

Dunno about other recipes, but lamb leg roasted, sliced, then frozen with or without gravy works for me (usually half a dozen meals from left-overs).0

Just chuck it in the slow cooker. Job done then.
No having to "watch it" ... and loads more time to mull over what you can do with it once it's cooked.0 -
Lamb and pearl barley work in the slow cooker, few carrots to sit the lamb on if you want and if available a glass of red wine. Once cooked the lamb usually falls off the bone and you can refreeze it as lamb and pearl barley casseroleLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
