State Pension for Wife

Hi,
I am looking at following scenario and have some questions regarding state pension fund. I appreciate if someone in the forum can provide some guidance.
Scenario:
Husband is only eligible for part state pension (based on number of years of NI contribution) and Wife is not eligible for state pension (due to not enough numbers of years of NI contribution).
Questions:
1) Will wife get any state pension after death off Husband based on his NI contribution?
2) Will it be beneficial to pay into Wife's NI for missing years to make her eligible for state pension (even part if not possible for full pension)?

How much SP have you and your wife currently accrued? I suggest you get the info from https://www.gov.uk/check-state-pension and let us know the numbers. Without this data we cannot provide useful guidance.
Are you and your wife working? Full time?
See https://www.gov.uk/new-state-pension/inheriting-or-increasing-state-pension-from-a-spouse-or-civil-partner for what if anything your wife can inherit from your NI when you die. From what you have said the answer is nothing.0 -
1) Maybe, maybe not https://www.gov.uk/new-state-pension/inheriting-or-increasing-state-pension-from-a-spouse-or-civil-partner
2) Probably
Without more details of their NI records it is impossible to say. Get a pension forecast and start from there https://www.gov.uk/check-state-pension.
Any children ?
After April 2019 2006-2016 years increase in price so important to get things started before then.
Not for the state pension ! Both have around another 20 years of contributions available going forward so an almost full SP is possible.Age Husband: 48, Wife: 47, Retirement Age:600
