    Thanks all.

I'm looking for around 500ml/18oz/pint mugs.

I really liked the look of the cornish mugs but they're only around 300ml (which it seems is a standard 'mug').

I guess I just need to find something that takes my fancy and not wince at the fact it's going to cost a fair bit :)

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

    Those are sweet.

When I look for the equivalent in the non-christmas range they're back to 280/300ml :(

Damned expensive. I like a big mug myself (400-500ml) but the rest of my family are putt off by any size above the standard 200ml. This means I can go with odd mugs in my own home, 100% of which are sourced from the chazzer. Never pay more than £1!

Dunoon pottery make 0.5l mugs (their Glencoe range) as well as some slightly smaller, and the Henley is even larger (0.6l)

I believe you may find similar Dunoon pottery mugs cheaper from resellers, but it gives you a name to search by.

I have a zodiac mug from the Glencoe range, picked up at a car boot fair!

    Those are lovely.

I'm going to order one to see what it's like in the hand.

Might well be the winner :)

I know it's daft but I've recently moved into a little flat and I'm feeling a bit miserable so I'm trying to make it feel like 'home' rather than 'squat'.

This time of year sucks at the best of times and if having a 'set' of overpriced mugs make me feel like a bit less of a failure :(
