hi guys and gals. sat down last month and thought i just cant manage anymore! its funny, for years ive been moving money around and trying to pay off the highest interest first but i just got a bit overwhelmed. i didnt pay any of novembers bills apart from the important ones and rang the cccs.
total debt is 33,313
my full time 40hr a week nhs job was only paying me 1100 a month and after chatting with the CCCS chaps they worked out that my left over money was £165 for my creditors.
my min payments on everything everymonth was £750 so i was having to work 20hrs a week overtime every week to just cover my min payment. after a while this dried up and i got stuck borrowing to pay etc. So much happier now even though ive got a strict budget to follow so close to christmas. my DMP starts in december. ive heard that MBNA can be a nightmare to deal with and after a few nasty phone calls i rang BT and they changed my number so they cant hastle me anymore. everything from now on is by post.
CCCS have been great so far. hopefully my DMP will run smoothly
