I went to the download site, downloaded and installed the player and then sucessfully downloade the 3 parts of the book.
WAAAAH!
My MP3 player isn't compatible. I got in touch and asked how I could convert the book(s) to MP3 format and they said 'No Can Do!'. They did, however, tell me I could burn them on to CD's, (19 of them), by downloading a 'Nero' plug in for their player.
My advice is to borrow the CD book from the library and then use a CD to MP3 Converter to create your MP3's, (this can be done in less than 2 hours).
The download web site should put a BIG notification that you can't use a 'Non Compatible' MP3 player, that way you can save time.
Of course, if you have a compatible MP3 player, (one that supports the extension '.aa'), then you can do it.
Hope this helps anyone even thinking about it.0 -
Try posting a note on the Teckie/how to part of this site. I don't know how to change the format without ripping it to cd- (which would take the micky)but I do know there are some smart pieces of software, often for free, hope someone there can help- Its well worth it though, I am half way through and really enjoying it (not meaning to rub it in!)

Good luck!Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before0 -
I'm going to give up with the 'Audible' stuff. I'm an ICT technician and I have tried lots of downloaded software that claims to be able to convert .aa to .MP3 but none of it works. So short of getting a trolley and a portable generator to cart my PC around with me, I'll just settle for the local library.
Thanks anyway and I hope that you all enjoy the Audible books.

Hi, I have just subscribed to this site as I was searching for this audio book of Bram Stoker's Dracula and this site was one of the links.
I know that this freebie is very out of date now, but I was wondering if it was still available, and how could I find out as I would absolutely love to have this to listen to.
Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Kaziki0
