advice please

I was in a Pension with Bunzl for around 5 years, never transferred, left it there when I left in 2001. I did have papers from them, but stopped after the next year. Now I wondered if I contact them do I have to wait for retirement age before they will pay my tiny bit. I never transferred as I never opened another Pension.

It depends entirely on the scheme. You need to contact them and find out. Most likely you will be able to get access before state pension age but it depends on the scheme.

If it was a defined contribution scheme (rather than defined benefit scheme) you can most likely get access to it after age 55.

OldMusicGuy, thank you, I gave them a ring and they are sorting my Pension out for me, sending me the paperwork 30/03/2019, 59th Birthday. 4/5 years worth, might get myself a Rum and Coke.
