New Aldi opening in North London

At last we are getting an Aldi locally. I have never been to one - is it as good as Lidl? Do they have fresh veggies at good prices?

I have read the other thread but most of it is about Lidl so wondered how they fare in a straight comparison. There is also a Sainsburys, Tesco and Waitrose within 2 miles of this new store.

Yes, that's the one. I also use Tesco or Sainsburys for the parking when I need to go to Bank etc in North Finchley.

I keep reading about Aldi and was really look for suggestions
  • I prefer Aldi over Lidl since I think Aldi's quality is higher in general, especially where fresh produce and weekly food and non-food specials are concerned.

    Price-wise there's no difference.

Lidl have more original German stuff, that's why I go there quite often, too.
