Too young for CCJ

Hello
I am a recent graduate and have CCJ. I do not have family and council refused to help me. I have anxiety problems but improving. I was too scared to apply jobs in far places. Somehow the CCJ made me stronger. I am looking for work but I already lost an awesome job because of it.No one contacted me to hire me when I applied before the CCJ suddenly I everyone in finance field is calling me. I did Computer Science Web development. I do have Admin skils
I am also a photographer and love to write.
Can people with CCJ like me get nice jobs?
Please help me
Thank you
ps. my CCJ is so recent.

Yes; CCJs only prevent a fraction of jobs.

A CCJ will be irrelevant for most jobs, although I guess it might stop you from getting some finance jobs. Are you certain you "lost an awesome job because of it" ? What was this job?

What is your work history like? What work are you looking for? Have you had anyone review your CV/application forms to give you some advice on improving them?

CCJs will not impact the vast majority of roles.

Look at getting temping work in the business you want to work in.

    Get your CV looked over.

Also look at your money / budget so you don't get a CCJ again.

Are you sure you don't have any family even if a distant / do you have a support worker who can help you?

  • From some friends that have been through this, they have only had issues with jobs relating to finance.

If you can start by arranging to clear the debt that the CCJ is in relation to then this would be good going forward because I know of some jobs and companies that are fine with you having a CCJ as long as they can see evidence of a repayment plan in place or that the debt has been settled.

I think the only way you would face real issues is if you were a declared backrupt.
  • Why not go on social media and make a Crowd fund page...they seem all the rage recently for Tragic family's who dont have £2000 for kids presents (Fags and booze obviously lol).

Yeah id say try asking the internet for money..get ccj payed off and life will be rosey again.
  • To be honest though that crowd fundraising for various things has actually increased a lot and more and more people seem to be getting in on it.

If you are old enough to get into debt that you haven't repaid or come to an arrangement to repay, then you are old enough to have a CCJ. Paying your debts is part of being a grown up, and a very important lesson to learn if you want "nice jobs" - because even if your credit record isn't checked by employers, having unmanageable debt is not ever going to contribute to a stable lifestyle or employment history.

Many web development and finance roles will struggle with a recent poor credit history, especially in someone with no employment history either. You need to focus on getting a job, not getting a "nice" job. Nothing impresses employers more than showing a working history and good references - it's the effort of working even in a different field that shows you will be a hard worker. The longer tyou are out of work, the harder it will be, because unemployment will compound the negative impression.

Freelance photography and writing? Plenty of scope if you're any good - and no credit checks.

Did you get a letter in the post prior to the ccj being registered?
