Sorry for the stupid question. Would this tv be ok for the big switchover to digital? Saw some that say digital. Does this mean it has freeview? Does hd ready mean it'll be compatible?

Well I thought I did OK until I got it home!!!!

Got one from Argos this afternoon at a different store to the one I reserved it at

Got it home unpacked it, connected up to sky box and then all the electrics tripped out. No matter what I tried every time the TV connected to the sky box off it went. I tried different power leads, different scart leads and different AV cables but the same result each time. Connected it back to the old CRT with no problems, its just when the Beko connects it all goes pear shaped.

I'll have to take it back, dont know if i should change it for the one I have reserved or just give up. Most likely try the other to see.

One dodgy TV doesn't mean they all are, £190 is an absolute bargain !, don't forget you have a 1 year warranty and and for £69 you can purchase a 3 year warranty.

Overall the reviews have been quite good.

Somone has contacted me about the reservation I had at Bedford, but I have one at Slough I don''t need if anyone wants.

screenshot won't help you, the reservation clearly states that you pay will be the price in store when you collect.
  • do you get the vouchers there and then?
eg buy 2 no £100 vouchers they give you £200 plus 2 no £10 vouchers there and then?
  • Showing at dearer price at my Argos , (none for Homebase) collection only though, which is a pain as i cant carry it!

I picked up mine yesterday, after reserving THREE! Connected it all up last night to Sky+, DVD player, Video player and a Playstation 3 with no problems at all. Beautiful picture and an absolute bargain. Many many thanks to the original poster on this one.

I still have two more reserved in Truro, Cornwall, (thought parents and in-laws might want one each) if anyone wants the reservation code?
