Does anyone know how to make them or any way to get them cheaper than the out of date ones for £20 of Ebay. I have an elderly friend who really misses them and wanted to surprise her for Christmas.
Iv'e contacted Kellogs with what I thought was a very convincing a sob-story but heard nothing - they probably think I'm just going to sell them on Ebay!

They were discontinued in January https://news.sky.com/story/kelloggs-to-stop-making-ricicles-in-sugar-crackdown-11150573
They are just rice crispies coated in sugar.
Do you have any american friends as they called Frosted Crispies there or maybe you can get them from an american store?I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Can't you DIY? Supermarket rice crispies, dab of butter, golden syrup, granulated sugar and a pan, job done.
Stick it in a big glass jar with a ribbon on top and ta-dah!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Do you need the dominant taste of your breakfast to taste of sugar?
Supermarket similar brands (eg Asda) are cheaper and taste fine, if you want a sugary taste then why not have your breakfast with a sugary tea, that would compensate on the taste.0 -

I think you've missed the point of the post. OP is looking for a thoughtful nostalgic gift for someone, not judgement on their sugar intake.
OP - I wonder if discount stores such as Poundstretcher, Poundland, B&M etc might stock it? I often see random breakfast cereals there that I don't see in other supermarkets.0 -
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them in B&M.0
