No MSE Emails today - anyone else?

Hopefully, this should be my last bump for this thread. I've woken up to 60 emails, mostly from MSE. So fingers crossed, the thing is sorted. Just in case it happens to anyone else and they end up finding this post (someone might land here from doing a search on the problem). I think it was caused by one of two things:
1) Some sort of e-blip, that righted itself.
2) It might just've been to do with some configuration issue between hotmail and gmail. I tried tinkering with settings on both of those and also my MSE settings. If anything I did made the difference, I haven't a clue what worked and what didn't.
If it happens again, I will probably ignore it for a couple of days and see if it rights itself.
A sincere thanks to those who commented and tried to help.
