Hi, I have received a phone call today from an unknown number so didn't answer it.
It's 08008772772 which I looked up online and its the PRA group.
On reading other threads here I gather I'm not alone.
To my knowledge I don't have any debts and cannot think what it would be.
My question is, should I answer them next time they call?
I've had no other communications from them, eg. letters or emails so I'm guessing they don't have my address etc.
If I do answer, what should be my approach? I assume they should have my correct name.
What is the best response?

Harassing calls from PRA Group. Blocked.

I've had a call everyday since the 12th November, I've blocked the number but still receive an automated voice mail from them asking to call Vannessa. I've never had a loan, credit card or any kind of debt.

Keep calling asking for my daughter who is only 13 and when she is at school And calls me in a stressed state They have been told to stop Again again and again

Missed call today on my mother's old mobile (not used for over a year) and didn't leave a message. Not calling them back after reading this list!

PRA group debt collection - the first couple of times I answered and told them I’m not the person they’re looking for but they keep calling. I’ve tried to block the number but I’m still getting at least two automated messages left on voicemail every day.

PRA dept collectors ring me every night after 8pm just ignore them have no power to harrass you

Getting a weekly call from pra group I have blocked them some how can leave a message logging dates times etc becoming annoying but they will give up before long I hope

Number blocked but keep calling, I have not answered any of the calls. If it was that important they would have left a message - no message left

McKenzie Hall that was closed down for bad practise now PRA Group. I stopped Mckenzie Hall from harrassing me on the phone for a 10 year debt years ago that was not enforceable by reporting them to relevent authorities. They have an automated dial system and i have requested to be taken off but they have ignored me. Just blocked them, i have sufficient evidence now of harassment.

Number blocked, claiming to be from debt recovery : pra group.co.uk 2 the cross Kilmarnock, Scotland ka1 1lr .just a short journey away, .123,000 complaints?? About time this company was closed down.

Call every day for an old pay day loan, that was cleared off with the law that came in

Debt collectors ! Asked them to send me a court order and any evidence / agreement that i owe this amount ? Its dates back 13/ 14 years !! They Harrass anyone buy old debts and chase them. Ignore them BLOCK them. Dont even confirm your name let alone your details !

Jeez - that made for interesting reading and it beggars belief that they are still using the same underhand tactics here in the UK.
