DMP help :(

Good morning all
Im currently in a dmp with stepchange who have been so helpful. However im in a bind.
My car has needed some repair work- taking it to a big dealer to enable me to pay in 4 payments believing that id be able to budget around it. The car place has quoted me nearly 900 for the work that needs doing. I know i could be possibly being ripped off too but i could not get my car back as they had stripped it down to find source of problem and deemed it not safe.
Could i add this 4 payments to my DMP once its set up and running?
Im so embarrassed and ashamed. Ive never been so poor. My circumstances do not allow for me not to have a car for work ect and my partner is due baby anytime now. Due to pregnancy related issues have lead us to where we are now debt wise
Any help wil be appriciated.

Hi,
I doubt the garage would be too happy about such an arrangement, and its not really a viable solution for you to consider.
What usually happens in this kind of situation is the garage bill becomes a priority, and you reduce your DMP payments in order to manage it within your budget.
Call stepchange and explain what you need to do, they will be fine, it is a common occurrence, and the way to deal with it is as i I have described to you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
