Warning - The Works 'wrapping paper'

Options
So I just went to wrap some Christmas presents with 'paper' I bought from The Works - it looks like it's silver (with two silver and white rolls either side.) - the silver and white are in fact see through and white, the 'silver' one is totally and utterly see through. It's literally just clear cellophane. It looks like metallic silver from the packaging.

I realise this is my fault, as I just assumed it was metallic paper - the label does indeed state it's cellophane, but if you're in a hurry and just pick it up from the stacks of wrapping paper there (it was with other proper papers, not in a craft section or anything), you might be in for a shock!

This is the offending item. https://www.theworks.co.uk/p/wrapping-paper/3m-clear-luxury-cellophane---pack-of-3/5052089200418

Glad I realised my mistake early - I would hate to be hastily wrapping presents on Christmas eve and find out then! Yes, I know I should have read the packaging more carefully in the shop and won't be taking it back - just trying to stop anyone else from buying it without realising, or if they're like me and 'super organised' they might have some sitting in their house they're relying on!

As I said, pro-troll! The cellophane will be put to good use, it's excellent for water sports.

Normally I'd agree with you, but not when the whole issue arose because YOU were in a rush :D

Next time slow down and READ what you are buying.

I appreciate your humility in your post btw, makes you a good person, but it's a pointless complaint!

As I said not a complaint, won't be taking it back, it's a warning to others. I know it's been sitting in my hallway for literally months and I didn't realise, my OH didn't notice when we bought it, and if ONE person reads this and knows not to make the same mistake, mission accomplished.

I already said in the first post that I'm basically 'a moron in a hurry' - so I'm fully expecting people to tell me that I'm a moron in a hurry, and should stop being so moronic and hurried. :D

But nah, I made this post as I remember my single, hard working Mum, wrapping presents at 1am on Christmas morning. We came downstairs to see if Santa had been yet. If she had bought this by mistake and didn't realise until she came to wrap presents, I think she'd have cried. Plenty of people are always in a rush, for whatever reason - and like I said, just glad I spotted it early.

Quick trip to Tesco, all wrapped now :)

No idea what you mean :D

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_water_sports
There are a large number of sports that involve water. The following is a list of water sports categorized by how the sport is played in relation to the location of the water. These range from activities involving a single person such as scuba diving and swimming, to team sports such as boat racing and underwater football.

A warning about what? To buy what you actually intended to buy snd not just grab things willy nilly
