Loan To Value

Hi All

I am buying a house and could get a mortgage with a LTV of 79.9% but that would involve me borrowing money from my dad, at the moment without borrowing i have a LTV of 82% does this make a big difference when it comes to interest rate between 79.9% and 82% LTV?

Thank You

With Barclays a 5 year fix is 2.13% and a £999 fee at 80% LTV or 2.32% on an 85% product also with a £999 fee.

I am not suggesting Barclays are the best, I am also not suggesting you should pay an arrangement fee or that you should do a 5 year fix - basically dont read into anything I have said (thats my get out clause to basically say no advice is being given). I just thought it might help if you had 2 like for like options.

So not a massive difference considering you would need to still pay your dad back.
