Mortgage question

Hi guys,

We are about to apply for a new mortgage as we are moving to a bigger property, and I have a question regarding employment and a disciplinary I am currently under with work.

I am on a written warning with my employer and the written warning will expire on 14th March 2019. Is this likely to effect the amount I can borrow, or even whether a lender will lend us any money, whilst the disciplinary is still in place? Or does it depend on the lender, and I would need to ask the question?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jamie.

Your employed thats it. No need to talk about written warnings and they wont go looking for your disciplinary record (not that theyd be allowed to see it anyway). It does not effect your contractual employment.

If you think you are likely to face disciplinary action again (and sacked) before that date it might be prudent to avoid committing yourself to what im guessing is a larger mortgage.
