Hospitality trade

I work in the haulage industry as a senior manager, worked permeant nights for over 25 years, so nights would be my preferred shift pattern.
I've recently recovered from a nervous breakdown, and although back at work, I no longer want the responsibility or pressure of my role, unfortunately, I don't have a sympathetic employer.
The problem is, how can I get a lower position job given my CV clarifies my work history with the roles & responsibilities I've held for many years?
I applied for a job as a hotel night receptionist, not surprisingly, I didn't get it, although I received an acknowledgement stating I was over qualified.
I'm using job sites such as CV library, Total jobs etc., etc., as a search, clearly, my CV is way above the positions I'm looking for,
Although I'm 60, salary cut is not an issue.
I enjoy interacting with the public (customers) therefore, my preference would be the hospitality trade, a role I fancy doing, (hotel receptionist, although I'm not qualified for management positions within this industry)
Any advice would be appreciated

Have you put a paragraph at the top of your CV as to why your looking for the career change?
Maybe add that before your qualifications to show your intentions and why your looking for a permanent move.
Some may be concerned your just using them as a stopping gap before you find another Haulage senior role.Save £12k in 2019 -0 -

That's an excellent idea which I hadn't thought of, however, I'd rather not publicise the medical condition I've recently experienced as a reason for change0 -

Yeah no need to bring up the past. Just throw a few positive words around instead. Still achieves same outcome.Save £12k in 2019 -0 -

Excellent, thank you0 -
I would make it explicitly clear by saying "looking for a new challenge and a change of career"
