Going through a remortgage at the moment no current mortgage in place
Need to have a valuation done what would that involve?

Paying the lender some money !
Depending how much you are borrowing it could be anywhere between a desktop evaluation to a visit.0 -

They're making a visit with such a low LTV? Fair enough.
The valuation will probably be a cursory once around the house to check its not literally falling to pieces. The person doing the survey will likely already have a pretty good idea of its value they just need to see it to confirm what they already knowThose who risk nothing, Do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothingMFW #63 £0/£5000 -

Our existing lender sent someone to value our property yesterday on a remortgage despite the LTV against their automatic valuation being under 20%. Today we got notified they were happy with the valuation. Complete mystery why they bothered. Thankfully it was free.0
