I'd leave the DD dates as they are - firstly because you'll have money sat in your accounts for a bit longer each month (i.e. potentially earning a bit interest) and secondly because if your new job doesn't work out and you have to move, you'll have to change them all back again if the role you then move into pays on the last working day of the month - so perhaps worth settling into the new job first!
Im pretty sure that visiting other boards won't help as the reason I am in this situation (managing I may add) is because my husband has undergone major heart surgery and several precedures in the last year and funnily enough ESA just doesn't cover what was previously a full time wage. I'm doing the best with what I have. Living month to month isn't ideal but sadly it is what it is and I deal with it. I just wanted some advice

There is a LOT of information and guidance on this site and many people can save £100s each month - so with all due respect, it's at least worth a good look - you may be pleasantly surprised.

Whilst I'm sorry for your husband's poor health it doesn't change the fact that a change in a monthly pay date from end of month to 20th doesn't make any difference other than receiving the money 10/11 days earlier. This is assuming that you are paid for a calendar month.
