Unused holiday pay

I'm leaving my job one day before end of the year and I still have 7 unused holiday days. My employer holiday year finishes with the calendar year. I know my work schedule and I'm pretty sure I will be in situation that I will not use my remaining holiday and I also prefer to get paid for that.
I would like to ask you what will happen if I will have 7 unused holiday days and my notice will end one day before end of the year. I know that normally I would get paid for unused holiday but I'm not sure in that situation if employer will have to pay me for all 7 days or only for 1 day that I would be able to use.

If they won't let you take the holiday before you leave then they will have to pay you for it.
It is their choice and they can instruct you to take certain days as holiday during your notice period if they wish.0 -
Ask for the holiday. It is their problem if they haven't got the capacity to cope without you. If they say you can't have the time, ask them to confirm in writing that you will be paid when you leave.0

If the employer has told the employee they must either use it or lose it, and has not refused any applications for annual leave, I'm not sure that the OP will have a right to be paid for unused leave.0
