Multiple hard credit searches for recent remortgage with Clydesdale

Hi,
I recently remortgaged, moving from Nationwide to Clydesdale with completion having happened last week.
Today I looked at my credit report (Experian) and in the summary had a note stating 3 searches recently and this being a negative factor in my score. This was surprise as the only product or service I've applied for in ages is this mortgage.
On inspecting the details it appears that Clydesdale did hard searches 3 times - once in September and twice in October.
I'm concerned as I'm about to look at other areas of my personal finance and will want to apply for a credit card and possibly change bank account. Surely Clydesdale only need to do one search for this product?
Before I go through a customer services journey does this sound odd to anyone else?
Thanks

No. Multiple searches are not uncommon for mortgages.
It's unlikely to have any impact, certainly not in the medium to long term.0 -
I also had 3 hard searches from Clydesdale, 1 in October and 2 in November, so it seems pretty normal. A lot of people here say not to worry about your score since it's a gimmick Experian and Equifax use. As long as you're paying off your credit cards, bills and loans on time there shouldn't be a problem.0
