Advice on HP of a Car after redundancy

    Thank you for all the replies. Yes the original price of the car was £8k, add on the interest and it's £10k. The mileage maximum is 10k per year, so the original period was to pay it over 48 months. So I assume the value of £4500 would be what the car would be worth in that time, that would make sense.

    I will see how I am at the end of next month, as I have some offers for possible employment, I am just waiting for people to get back to me. Once I know what is happening I may then speak to the finance company. I will also ask the family member to check out Sainsbury's for a loan, to see what the APR is like, currently, I am paying 8% APR through the finance company.

    I am remaining hopeful in that I will gain some employment soon as I have been trying, I am not one to give up.
