Cycle Hangars - any advice?

Wondering if anyone here has any experience with the cycle hangars that are now being put in place around London?
My council is consulting on the installation of a secure cycle parking facility in my street and there's a choice between an Asgard or a Cyclehoop facility. My thoughts are:
1. The Cyclehoop looks like it might let quite a bit of rain through the grill on the end which would not be good for my bikes.
2. The Cyclehoop opens up vertically. That looks like it could be quite a problem if it's windy as it flies out of your hand. I think, but I'm not sure, that the Asgard opens out like normal doors, to the side. So that looks better to me.
3. Clearly you still want to lock your bike while it's in either unit. There's some sort of frame inside each unit to which to do so. But is this positioned such that you can only lock by the front wheel, or can you lock your bike by the frame? Is it difficult to do this if you are putting your bike between two others that are already locked in place?
Grateful if anyone with some experience of these things can offer their thoughts.
