Britain/Ireland Double Taxation

Hello

I am currently employed full time in England but am trying to set myself up as self employed in the Republic of Ireland to generate some extra money. I can not be self employed in England as it would be considered a conflict of interest by my employer. I am tax resident in the UK. I presume my tax code in England will change if I become self employed in Ireland but when does it do this and will it be evident to my UK employer that I have become self employed in Ireland?

Any information at all gratefully received

your UK tax code will not be impacted at all unless you tell HMRC to collect any tax you owe via your code - and even then it needs to be within the relevant limits

why do you think HMRC would tell your employer about your personal tax affairs?
