Hello all,
Please bear with me as this is our first post and really not sure if we are on the right track or not?
Since June 1988 we have had mortgages with the following companies - Abbey National 1988-1996, Halifax 1996-2003 & Nationwide 2003-2005
During the time from 1988 we had an endowment with Clerical Medical and were then advised we needed to have a second one from 1996 with Commercial union (now Norwich union we believe?). In Sept 2005 we were advised by our financial adviser to sell both endowments to a company called Surrenda-link.
Could someone advise us if we are able to claim for being mis sold the endowments please?
Jeff and Sue

Why do you think you were missold them ? You've given no clue in your post.
I think it's more likely you were wrongly advised to sell them than buy them.0 -

As you received advice in 2005 to sell them and followed through on that, then you would expect that all three endowments are now timebarred from complaint.
The FCA rules are that you need to put a complaint in within 6 years of taking it out or three years from being reasonably aware of an issue. Both rules have to be met to allow a timebar. The 6 year rule is easily met and the three-year rule can be applied from the 2005 sale. So, your last date to complain would have been 2008.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
