? add extra filling to Goosedown duvet, not warm enough

Hi Sorry if I've put this on wrong thread. I have a 9 tog Hungarian goose down duvet super king size bought 10 years ago from what is now Soak & Sleep, and it is not now warm enough for me in winter. It feels quite thin and underfilled.

They do not do a filling service. I could buy a second duvet lower tog and sew them together. But the type I have are really really expensive now. I wondered if anyone does add extra filling. I guess it would be quite expensive.

I am trying to get the best economy solution, without just replacing the duvet. I have a throw on it at the moment, if I added a wool blanket that would flatten it too much I guess.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

  • I was wondering about just getting a total replacement. I was looking at just the king size Wool winter weight with soak and sleep at £131 less 25% today.
