Applying for a mortgage with ccj

Hi,
I'm new posting to here but after doing lots of research for myself I've come to the conclusion everyone's circumstances are different.
I'll keep it short as possible, me and my partner are wanting to buy a house in the next year. Unfortunately we found out after checking his credit score a few month's ago that he had a ccj filed against him in May 2017. It was for around £600 from an old mobile bill 4 years ago. As soon as we found out we paid it straight away. So it has been satisfied since july this year.
I'm just wondering if and how this may affect our chances of getting a mortgage?
I've read that some people have had to wait for it to be gone (6 years), others say we'd have really bad chance of getting a high street mortgage, others say we'd need a huge deposit?
Has anyone else been in the position and what was the outcome?
Any advice would be greatly received
Thank you 😊

Hi there
Shoudlnt affect it at all but it depends on how much deposit you have. You may need 10% min but without knowing all your info I couldn't say for sure.
A lot of lenders ignore mobile communications defaults especially if they have been paid.
Make sure you get professional advice as not all high street lenders will like this.

Hi , sorry to hyjack your post , looking at loads of lending criteria etc , long story short some say 1ccj in last 36 months , does this mean anything greater than that ie 48 months they won’t take into account or am I best settling it before even applying ?0
