I won an enormous fresh (thank god it was fresh) turkey one year, it arrived on Xmas eve and I spent the entire day jointing it and otherwise freezing it in meal sized portions, I think I used the last of it the following August.0

I'd make use of what I practically and reasonably could, then share with friends and family, and then charities/anyone else who could make good use of it/them.
I try to only enter comps for what I actually want or can give to friends and family.
