Nail biting time that's for sure. Chances are your solicitor will have requested the funds by now for receipt tomorrow in readiness so surely if there were going to be any issues you would have known by now?

Anxiety is into over drive now - just checked the recent searches section of my credit file on Experian to discover that Bank of Scotland PLC carried out a search of my file on the 20th November.


Given that this was on Tuesday I would really like to think that if there was some sort of issue that I would have at least heard something about it by now. Strangely its kind of a relief to see that they have done a further check as now I don't need to sit and panic about whether or not they are going to or not! Just need to prey that they haven't been spooked by something or changed lending criteria since the offer was issued originally....

Update: called the Halifax and asked if everything was still in place etc. The lady in the phone confirmed “the full mortgage offer is still in place and we are now awaiting instruction from your solicitor to request funds”.

A feeing of relief that the additional credit search on Tuesday doesn’t seem to have thrown up an issues. I can only assume that if anything out of the ordinary was discovered that the account would have a block of some description on it stopping the funds being released or something along those lines which would be visible to the lady checking it over for me.

Seriously micromanaging things here, I know !
