Are Tesco doing a buy 6 get 25% off deal?
What other supermarkets are good? (Apart from Lidl and Aldi) not looking to spend more than £6 a bottle.

Dont necessarily go by the shelf price.
Speak to managers at your local stores and see what they can offer you

You might be able to get a deal from somewhere like Oddbins or Majestic, they also do glass loan, as do some supermarkets I think.

There are some very good mixed cases or indeed single variety cases around at the moment.

If you are a new customer there are plenty of discount codes around that offer a good saving and if you are also an amex customer there have been some discounts linked that way recently.

I have just bought 12 bottles of wine for just under £40 by using the laiothwaites discount for new users,the amex card to pay and quidco for extra cashback....all with free delivery

Not sure why you said that as they have some excellent wines. My favourite is the Cremant du Jura (fizzy, dry chardonnay grape) from Aldi. But that's £7.99 so out of your price range.


The best deals in supermarkets tend to be wines that are already on offer and then take the 25% off. It's hard to advise until Sainsbury's post their offers and they could change for tomorrow.
