Yes it is but you must specifically request it.
Thanks! Useful to know that it's still an option.
My Mum, who has been in receipt of SP for many years now, has always had a payment frequency of weekly - but my understanding has always been that, back then "in olden times", it was paid in advance from when it was claimed. Or am I also wrong about that?0 -
it was paid in advance
And still is for those who reached SPA before April 6 2010 and opted for weekly payments.0 -
And technically is still is paid in advance for people who are paid 4 weekly and 13 weekly with an SPa before April 6 2010.And still is for those who reached SPA before April 6 2010 and opted for weekly payments.
However the definition of "paid in advance" for 4 and 13 weekly payments is that the payment is made at the start of the final week - 3 (or 13) weeks in arrears and one week in advance. The change from advance to arrears (taken in its own) isnt that significant for 4 weekly or 13 weekly payments.0
