Buying a house plus a building plot -mortgage

Can anybody advise me on the name of lenders who will give a mortgage on a house with a building plot. Nationwide, after 6 weeks and a survey - have said they will not include the value of a building plot when buying both. In other words the plot with detailed planning permission cannot be valued only the house has value.

Any suggestions?

Most high street lenders will not lend to buy land only. Is the land on a seperate title or is it part of the property?

To buy land only you may have to put a big deposit down.

Another factor is if the land is part of the current title what will the current property by worth once the title is split. There will need to be equity in this or the lender will not allow you to split the title.

I would go to a WOM broker, you may need to sit down and go through the property details.

Although , on the high street I would try Natwest, C&G or maybe Barclays.
