Aegon Personal Pension Transfer nightmare

Does anyone know if a personal pension valuation can be changed once it is transferred to another provider? Aegon are asking me for a refund of over £14,000, due to what they claim is an overpayment on transfer out. The explanatiion is their miscalcuation of tax relief applied. If this were me, at this point I'd be getting onto the consumer pages of one of the national newspapers. Not just about the latest miscalculations, but about the whole catalogue of problems. I suspect that they simply need to put a bit more time and effort into resolving your issues, and currently lack any incentive to do so.
