student with big debt problems

i am a student at birmingham city university, and have some serious debt problems. i didnt intend on ging to university this year so i did the worst thing anyone could ever do and took out numerous store cards, with the intention of paying them off before going to uni.but now i am in uni stuggling to get by as it is and have bills coming at me left right and centre which i can only just meet the minimum payments on.the interest is mounting up as is the debt i have. PLEASE HELP!:mad:

    Hi Claire, don't worry you're not alone.I'm not the best at giving advice but always gratefull to receive :)I'm sure if you list all your incomings and outgoings (SOA) someone will be along soon who will be able to give advice which I'm sure will help you.

    Mollymop is right!

    Follow the instructions in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280 and post an SOA for us. Then we'll help you lick your finances into shape. Being a student is tough, I know. Have you looked into grants and awards you might be entitled to? Also have you checked to see if the university has a hardship fund? Mine did, though for obvious reasons they don't exactly publicise it.

    Like the others have said stick up your SOA and then the advice will come flooding in :D
