Microsoft Office packages

Does anyone know what current packages are available for MS Office, there used to be a CD that could be used to install Office on computers, but seemingly now you have to buy licences, some of these are only valid for one user for one year, any advice would be welcome? Thank you.

Hi the license is valid for one year, but you can get it for one computer or you can buy it for up to 5 computers. You can do this online as well. Now if you have children at high school then they can get the 5 license one for free through their c2k email. Think the 5 license one is about £80 ��

Do you work for an organisation that has signed up to the Microsoft Home Use programme? If so, you should be able to get a copy for 11.95 without needing to renew every year

Not knowing the background but did you consider OpenOffice? It's free. After having purchased a standalone license for MS Office (for use on Mac) and finding you now have to take out an annually renewable subscription, I dropped MS and switched to OpenOffice. There's a small (small!) learning curve, but if you need MS Office for home use only, check it out www DOT openoffice DOT org You can open most MSS Office file format and save them as such also.
