help with remortgage please

hi i know this is going to sound ridiculous already but struggling at the moment and feel like we are 'stuck' i would really appreciate any suggestions
i have a joint mortgage with my husband currently owe 98,000 house worth around 200,000 we are paying 980 to santander with 10 years remaining
we are also currently on a dmp with stepchange mine is approx 12,700 with 4 years remaining my husband 30,000 with about 12 years remaining!!
my issue is the home is in a bad state of repair and we are desp for more room
as far as i can see i can't move as i would never be approved a mortgage...and i can't get a loan due to my dmp
to clarify we are in a better situation now - my husband is self employed and now has plenty of work which was a different story a few years ago hence the debt!
i guess my question is are there any companies that deal with remortgages whilst on a dmp? i don't want a bigger mortgage for a fancy house i just want to remortgage to maybe have a lump to do some house repairs or move to a cheaper house that doesn't need the work!
or am i best just ploughing as much as i can into my dmp ad just leave the house? it needs a new roof and thats just the start
thanks for your help

Yes, but the rate will be higher than you are paying now. I've just done a purchase with a DMP in place at 5.04% fixed for two years.

Can you evidence sufficient income ot be able to prove to the new lender your affordability?

Would it make more sense to sell the house? Pay off the debts with the equity, rent for a few years until your credit files are looking healthier and then look at buying again?0
