Employment History Question

I'm going to be starting a new job and my new employer has asked for 5 years employment history.

I started at my current company A in 2012
It was taken over by company B in 2017
I was part of a TUPE transfer to company C in 2018.
My HR record shows as I have 6 years service with company C

Would I be correct in saying that I put my history as being from 2012 with company C?

Comments

  • would mention previous company incarnations, though in same job (i guess?) for 6 years..
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)
  • Yes because you have been continuously employed in the same job for 6 years since 2012.

So its as if you worked for the company C for 6 years. So you don't need to mention previous names of the company. Though does no harm to do so. Well that's if the company name changed, as sometimes it doesn't
