Bank agreeing to to high overdraft now I’m in unplanned ?

sorry for long title.
To be brief, I am a gambling addict and racked up previous debts well over 25k just betting on horses.
For now, this is a issue for another discussion.

After months of not gambling, cause I’m that stupid I fell back into it.
I have a planned overdraft already. But don’t ask how, I have gone over the planned one by £1150. Putting my available balance to -£1150

Don’t be mistaken, I’m embarrassed and ashamed of this. Completely gutted I fell back into it.
I want to ask your opinions. I will ring the bank (TSB) and check if they can help, but will they just judge me on being the idiotic gambler I am and tell me to find £1150 for somewhere or help me extend my overdraft and pay this off monthly ?
I’m not looking forward to picking up the phone, but learnt over my many years of debt it’s best to just face up to it ASAP

  • They'll want you to get back under the limit as soon as you can. But if yo can't, they will agree a repayment plan. They won't extend the OD - you'll remain above it until you pay off the excess.

It obviously won't do anything much for your credit files, but that's unlikely to be a concern at the moment.

Ring the collections team and explain your situation. Ask if there's any arrangement you can make to pay off the overdraft without charges and ask if there's a facility to block any gambling transactions. If any body talks down to you make a complaint.

I hope you're already seeking help for the gambling. There's lots of different things you can do like self excluding.

Make the call. You can do this xxx
    Loan 1 £5200/£8000
    Loan 2 £300/£5800
    Total £5500/£13800
