What are we wearing to Christmas parties this year?

I'll keep an eye out for skater dresses. And I already have leggings and knee high boots, which is a plus!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

I'm also looking currently and Oasis has some nice dresses

Just had a look on the Oasis website - some interesting ideas. I really like the 3/4 length wide trousers, but I don't want a jumpsuit!!
The midi dresses could work too - I like the look of a floaty skirt and ankle boots. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
I love floaty skirts but usually on other people. I don't feel they suit me well

Not going to the Christmas party this year as its Chinese food (which I hate) & karaoke (not my scene).Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I don’t have a work party but have a couple of lunch dos with colleagues. I am wearing:
Black a-line leather skirt, black sparkly long-sleeved top, opaque tights, ankle boots (flat). The skirt is from Jigsaw, top from Warehouse. The skirt was an “investment” but I have already worn it loads.
Gold sequinned knee length pencil skirt, black cashmere polo neck. Opaque tights and black leather trainers. Skirt from H&M via eBay, jumper from M&S with Sparks 20% off, trainers Adidas Stan Smith.
I will probably wear the gold skirt and black jumper on Christmas Day.
Could you maybe try culottes and a spangly top if you like the cropped wide leg thing but not a jumpsuit?0 -
Yes, culottes would be perfect - if I could find any!! All the ones I see turn out to actually be jumpsuits!!
I'm off in to Leeds on Wednesday, wish me luck!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

Fortunately lots of help and massive amount of meat in the freezer.
I treated myself to a new tree and new decorations this year so the lounge will be kitted out with the old ones. There's tons of Christmas carols and a CD player (I know it's a bit old fashioned but so are we) and I have had my arm twisted to sing:eek: one of the tenants plays guitar
Fortunately there is a dishwasher in the communal kitchen

I've now got two lunches as well as the Big Night Out to think about!!
I've decided to buy a smart coat as well - I normally wear a fleece/waterproof combo day-to-day but I refuse to wear that to a night out (but I'm old enough to want to be warm!).
Off to Leeds this morning once off-peak fares kick in - hoping the weather improves!
Wish me luck.
Relieved to hear there's a dishwasher Murphybear! No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Hope you find something
