Oh, I thought I'd spend most of it on Wine, Women and Song and then just fritter away the rest....however, wife will no doubt have words to say about that.

wine sounds good (I'd agree with the wife about women and perhaps the songs :D ) but even being sensible I'd have to fritter some of it. (I'm theoretically spending it here - I'd get our drive fixed, a holiday to New Zealand, some boring stuff, then fritter fritter.................)

That's the nice thing about this hobby. If one of us wins a big prize like that, the rest of us can daydream about what we would do if we won it. Personally, it would be spent on central heating, double glazing and generally sprucing up the house.

To be honest, there are a lot of prosaic, boring but necessary things that we'll be fixing. Boiler is vintage 1968, had to hit it with a hammer pretty much every hour this winter to keep it going. Car is a 2008 Fiesta that is costing more to fix than it cost to buy originally. Drive has more holes in it than ripe Gorgonzola. But, and this is the great thing, we can now sort these and still have something to treat ourselves with.

Keep going everyone, it can really happen to anyone and the lightning can strike right out of the blue, one day depressed by life the next shocked back into life!

Well, got my POY goody bag today and while I am very grateful for the win and everything will be useful, is no way there is £220 of goods in it, I doubt there is half the value in it, must admit it was a bit of a let down :(
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Aww that's a shame Becky, I know we are all grateful for our wins but you would expect something like a POY bag to be amazing. :(

I'm sure someone else said they won one too.

I would expect to get an awful lot of groceries if I went shopping with £220

What kind of things were inside?
    (nosey bugga me ;) )

A bottle of wine, a venus razor, a gillette razor, a vape, a sample of washing powder, a sample of curry sauce, bag of maltesers, sample of sanitary towels, 1 kitchen roll, bag of microwave rice, bag of pasta sauce, a plug in air freshener, high protein cereal bars, small sample of dog food, box of dog treats and about £12 of vouchers to use off products in store, certainly not £220 worth :rotfl:

Well that certainly doesn't sound brilliant at all :(

Could you or anyone complain about false advertising?

I wonder if others that have won one got the same items
