Compers Challenge 2019

I don't know if anyone else plans on doing this, but seeing as though I actually seem to be winning prizes this year (:D !!) I thought I'd add their number in for the corresponding 9 entry method types of 1000 comps we are entering, just to see how many wins I have for those 1000 entries (so not counting wins from comps entered before/after those 1000 entries). Not that I'm anywhere near completing most of them yet!

For example....(not my actual stats!)....

48) Enter 1000 TW competitions this year
252/1000 (1 win)

54) Enter 1000 Website competitions this year
1000/1000 completed 26th Jan (4 wins)

......or something like that.....just to give a quick look at a glance which of your entry methods have given you the most wins from the same number of entries (if/once you've reached 1000).

Thought it would make an interesting additional statistic......although I may be the only one who thinks this and it's not part of the official challenge, so I won't be surprised if no-one else joins in with doing it :rotfl:

My ladies are very happy :j

As I won it on the last day of the month I am going to wait until I receive it to claim it as my February win

To keep your 9 x 1000 comps challenges on track, you should have at least 84 in each kind

I've another January win to report - £100 :T:T:T . I'm going to count it as a prize worth £100 or more. It was from a competition I entered in December

I had my first Feb win yesterday from the mag dailies Speck PRESIDIO CLEAR + PRINT IPHONE XS/X CASE, Speck PRESIDIO STAY CLEAR IPHONE XS/X CASE & GrabTab .

Just idly wondering if taking part in this challenge has changed the way you comp or what you enter for. (I'm bored as I'm snowed in)

For me, I think about the only changes are that I am entering more email comps than I normally would. For example the world book day ones mentioned previously. I am also entering a few more twitter comps to see if I can get to 1000 over the course of the year. (In the days before shadowbanning, I would have entered 1000 easily in a month).

I still don't enter FB or Instagram, although I am toying with the idea of signing up for instagram I have no idea how it works though. Is there a guide out there anywhere for using instagram specifically for comping?

My idea behind the 9 x 1000 comps was to try and get folks to enter comps they wouldn't normal enter to step outside of their comfort zone and try something different, I can definitely say that is working for me I am definitely entering more of the comps I wouldn't normally enter.

When Mrs Bloggs says I won on FB I will go and try a few FB the same with Instagram ect.

I really don't think over a year entering 1000 of most of the comps will be too hard and folks are realising that after the initial shock :eek:

You need to try a few FB and Instagram Marg you never know you might like them, and hopefully win :T

I have an Ins account but I am by no way an expert in that area but I tried, I think it is vert similar to Twitter, you like the image, comment and tag a friend. From what I can gather it is easier to use on a phone, although I use it on my desk top.

The challenge is meant to be fun, I don't think anyone expects to complete it, it is just something to encourage us to keep plodding on. I like to see what others have won (nosey bugga me)

I have won a Blu-ray disc of Occupaton today so that's my February win done.
