Help! CCJ

Hubby sent his court papers off for a ccj to be issued. He wasen't too sure who to send it to.The courts or Nationwide for a c/c debt.
Plastered all over the forms where the courts address, we have sent it signed for postage and the courts have it. If it's the wrong place will it be passed on? really worried now

When you recieve a CCJ you should send it back to the creditor, the best thing to do is to phone the judgements and defaults department of the county court and explain to them what has happened they will be able to tell you what happens next,
you can pick up a blank N1 form (CCJ) from the internet or from the court its self,
Get in touch with the creditor as well just to let them know whats happened, the courts are not obliged to pass the forms on so it will be better to check with them!

    Good luck

ps: If a judgement has been set and it is to high for you to pay get an N245 form from a county court to vary the judgement this costs £35 on application but its worth it to get the payment lowered.
  • Will get hubby to give them a ring, see what can be done.
